The Liu lab incorporates both "wet" and "dry" lab approaches to address two major questions:

   1. How is the genome folded and regulated?

   2. How does genome misfolding lead to cancer?

There are three main research topics:

   1. The mechanisms that fold and regulate the genome.

   2. The interplay between histone modifications and genome folding.

   3. The biological and clinical relevance of genome folding.
